Following a hectic December of Christmas carols and pageants, we’ve all had our well-earned January break and rehearsals have resumed at Mt Lawley.  The first rehearsal saw many members’ eyes tear up as their instruments emerged from their cases after a long break, like long-lost friends arriving at the airport.  There was much blowing out of dust and untangling of tinsel left over from Christmas jobs.

2015 will almost certainly be a milestone in the history of Perth Concert Band.  We will have regular sponsorship for the first time in about 30 years, opening the door to a new public profile more public performance opportunities.

January also saw a few fearless band members embark on a new endeavour – the formation of a marching drum corps to lead the band at parades and excite audiences at gigs.
